Quick guide:  Entering Textbook Information

These quick guides are based on the "simulation environment". Things may work somewhat differently in the production environment. These "quick guides" are produced quickly with little attention to formatting and fitting everything on a letter size page for printing.  More elaborate guides will be made available at a later point. These guides are meant to get you started -- following an introductory hands-on session.  Or, for the more adventurous,  to guide self-study.

Note that there are other other ways to enter textbook data, especially for faculty entering textbook information for their own courses.  This is the CUNY enhanced version offering added user convenience.

Click the textbook icon to the left of the section for which you want to enter textbook information  (one at a time only, no "batch option" as in the "informed registration" app at Hunter).

Use "search" button to retrieve details about the book (unless you have all information at hand).

A popup window appears (make sure that your browser settings allow popups -- at least for this site):
Note: For best results when entering isbn numbers, enter them with an 'ISBN' prefix (e.g. ISBNxxxxxxxxx).
