A. (1) Gray, Peter. 2001. Psychology. Worth Publishing Co.
(2) Stanovich, K. 2001. How to think straight about psychology. Allyn & Bacon.

Q. How is this course graded?

A. There will be a Midterm and Final examination. Each exam consists of two parts: (A) a multiple choice section (approximately 45 questions) worth 90%; and (B) an essay section worth 10%. The essay will be about one page in length. There will also be an extra-credit question, worth up to 5 additional points. The exams are NOT cumulative: they cover information from after the previous exam. Makeup exams are in all-essay format! A student who misses the Final exam (provided the student has a valid, written reason and is passing the course) must sign up for a make-up exam with the Registrar in the fall, 2002 semester.

In addition to the exams, each student will lead a discussion group. Students will be graded on their role as instructor.

Finally, given the small size of this class, we will be able to conduct a few group and individual projects. Stay tuned foir details.
