Social Statistics (SOC 241)
Spring 96 (Kuechler)
On this page you will find a list of materials related to the class. These will include class handouts (that you may have missed or misplaced) as well as other important information. Click on any highlighted item to access this particular piece of informa
tion.
At times, the table of contents may lag behind what has actually been put on the shelf. But you can always get a
less fancy table of contents that reflects recent additions.
Important Message
In order to reduce the amount of printing in the Social Science lab, and consequently to curb the expense for supplies (paper, ribbons) as well as to diminish the wear and tear on the printer, the following policies will take effect with week 7 (March 1
8):
- Essential class materials (homework assignments, homework feedback, summaries) will be distributed in class as xerox copies to those in attendance.
- While all materials will still be posted on the ERS, students are encouraged to minimize printing on the (free) line printers by
- making xerox copies of materials obtained by other students
- saving documents on disk and using printing resources elsewhere
- accessing the web pages from other locations
- using the (pay-for) laser printer in the SS lab (detailed instructions; class discussion of this in week 7)
- Free (matrix) printing remains available for students in urgent need of materials. However, unless wiser use of these resources prevails, free printing may be terminated. Do not print materials without picking up the output. Check the print queue b
efore you send output to the printer.
