It must be in the genes. My dad was in the paratroopers (82nd
Airborne) in World War 2 (he was reportedly the tallest
paratrooper in the war at 6'5"). Anyway, wanting the thrill
without the long training, I signed up for a "tandem" jump (the
instructor straps himself onto your back and the two of you fall 6000 feet
before popping the chute and gliding down the last 5000).
