Project Kids: Duties as listed below with additional responsibilities of statistical analyses for various reports on project progress, coordinating school visits for child surveys, and conducting sociometrics administration at elementary schools participating in project.

Project Kids: Participated in compilation of measures and response scales for 5 year longitudinal study on familial and social cognitive factors of aggression in middle childhood. Conducted extensive interviews with individual members of target families. Assisted in facilitating contact with families.
Adolescent Aggression: Hostile Attribution and Maladjustment
Designed and conducted research study on relationship between adolescent aggression and personality variables. Compiled and submitted IRB proposal for study. Interviewed participants and collated questionnaires. Conducted statistical analyses and interpretation of data.

Failure to Thrive Study: Assisted in research study on environmental and biological factors related to FTT in children. Participated in and filmed Ainsworth’s Strange Situation. Obtained salivary cortisol samples and anthropomorphic measurements. Administered, coded and interpreted measures of psychosocial variables. Assisted in data entry.

Adolescent Coping: Identifying Common Stressors in an Urban Population.
Designed and conducted a study to identify daily stressors in the lives of urban adolescents. Observed weekly "life skills" workshop for adolescents for 2 months. Administered open ended questionnaires. Categorized results qualitatively and conducted statistical comparison to previous findings.

Compiled tutoring session plans. Identified problem areas for individual students. Assisted students in development of study skills, notetaking and time management procedures. Assigned students study practice exercises.

Chapter awarded 1997 Psi Chi Eastern Regional Chapter Award. Directed and coordinated activities of club members. Organized fieldtrips, fund raising and lecture events. Organized and coordinated the production of the Annual Hunter College Psychology Convention. Assisted in production of chapter and convention program and materials.

Promoting Higher Education through Mentoring. Created project and wrote community service grant proposal to the National Community Service Corporation. The grant proposal was for the funding of a celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. through a community service project to provide mentors to underprivileged high school students. Grant awarded November 29, 1997 in the amount of $1500.00.
