Current Areas of Research:

Our research program examines the developmental of self-regulation in the peripheral and cerebral vasculature. To that end, I focus on the control of vasotonus and caliber by the control of arterial blood carbon dioxide. A further extension of the work is the application of self-regulation methodology to the diagnosis of acid-base and metabolic dysfunction in which respiratory behavior is a key element.
