Description of Current Research
Behavioral ecology of Pampas deer in Uruguay.

Behavior of captive primates (Callitrichids, baboons), bears and small mammalian carnivores, marine mammals, birds (Passerines), and neo-tropical frogs.

Student
Essential and Desirable Background Knowledge and Skills
Essential:  Some background in basic biology. Interest in long hours of sitting and watching animals in all weather during daytime hours.

Desirable:  Some background in animal behavior or/and comparative psychology.

Expected Responsibilities
Develop and implement an animal behavior research plan. Need to be responsible for attending to zoo protocols. Expected time commitment is 9 - 12 hours per week.

Expected Benefits
Knowledge of applied animal behavior.
