Student Opportunities
Essential and Desirable Background Knowledge and Skills

Essential: Understanding of multi-factor nature of animal welfare, and knowledge of associated animal welfare assessment tools. Ability to perform detailed literature reviews. Willingness to ask questions and think critically.

Desirable: Effective writing skills. Experience with zoos and aquariums, and an understanding of the issues associated with welfare assessment and implementation of enrichment at these institutions.

Expected Responsibilities
Completing literature reviews, and assisting in the transfer of relevant information from pre-existing sources into species-specific documents. Compiling summaries of available enrichment and welfare assessment tools.
Expected Benefits
