In addition, the file, or one of the files, associated with a document entry can be replaced using the "Modify entry" option on the Course page functions screen. Clicking the "Modify entry" button brings up a drop box which displays a list of all of the entries for the particular course page. A pair of "radio buttons" allows a choice between modifying the information associated with an entry, for example, the document description, or replacing the file associated with the entry. Note: The process by which a file is replaced requires that the existing file be deleted. Caution should be exercised when using this option! With "Modify information" selected, choosing a entry from the list brings up the standard on-screen form used to add entries, but with the current values of all fields already filled in. Any changes that are made take effect after the "Submit" button is clicked. With "Replace file" selected, ERes steps the user through a process by which the old file is selected and deleted, and a new file transferred to the ERes system.
