William Parry [r.] and associates examine massive amounts of obsidian debris at the site of Cerro de las Navajas [Mountain of Knives] near the ancient city of Teotihuacan. This work is part of Parry's long-term study of lithic production, distribution and exchange at this important Mesoamerican center north of Mexico City.
