Christine Hegel spent the summer of 2001 as a visiting research fellow in the Forced Migration and Refugee Studies (FMRS) Proram at the American University in Cairo. She looked at narrativity and truth-production in relation to refugee testimonies. This image is of a street corner near Midan Tahrir, the main square in Cairo.
