Position Announcement - Physical Anthropology

Hunter College CUNY, Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in physical anthropology effective 01 September 2010. We seek an an individual whose research program emphasizes hominid/hominin paleoanthropology.

Specialties of interest include, but are not limited to, morphology, development, and life history, from a explicitly evolutionary perspective. Candidates should have a commitment to teaching and a strong and active research program and publication record, including field and/or laboratory components. The Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.
