1. Biological Anthropology
Hunter College CUNY, Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in biological anthropology. We seek an individual who integrates field primatology with laboratory-based research. Specialties of interest include, but are not limited to, behavioral endocrinology, nutritional ecology, disease ecology, life history, and developmental biology, from an explicitly evolutionary perspective. The Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.

2. Cultural Anthropology
Hunter College CUNY, Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in cultural anthropology. Candidates should have an active program of field research and publication. We are particularly interested in theoretically and methodologically innovative scholars. Specializations of interest include, but are not limited to, [trans] nationalism, religion, health and medicine, critical museum studies, environment, gender, and political economy. 3. Linguistic Anthropology
Hunter College CUNY, Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship effective 01 September 2008. Candidates should have an active program of research and publication and should approach general problems from a linguistic perspective. Specializations of interest include, but are not limited to socio-linguistics, language and identity, ideology, power, nationalism, gender, social action, literacy, performance & discourse. The successful candidate will offer both undergraduate and graduate courses in linguistics in the department. The Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment.
